John Galliano returns after being fired from Dior in 2011. He fell from grace after an anti-Semitic rant in a Paris bistro. He has since spent time in rehab for substance abuse , did a short residency at Oscar de la Renta and delivering several public mea culpas, he was hired by businessman Renzo Rosso to take over the creative reigns at Maison Margiela, a fashion house known for deconstruction and discretion.
So does this collection deliver enough to forgive Galliano for past mistakes and re energize his career?
The mesh layering that looks like a wooden mannequin is brilliant. And I love the high neck and capped sleeve short dress.
Maxi coats long and tailored look rich and powerful. Bleached out eyebrows with black smokey eyes and tossed hair, plus sheer black hosiery!
The lime flower chocker has an unexpected punk feel against the shiny black
Edgy carnival girl with an almost roaring 20's throwback
Black fur coat with a 70's rock n roll post hippy and moving towards punk moment
It's hard to do orange with black and not think Halloween but I think the shade of orange with the blunt hair cut works
I true forward collection of wearable pieces to fall in love with . Large open weave tops, fitted 3/4 sleeve jackets back to cropped pants, tea length skirts and thick belts strapped high at the waist.
One of the most exciting Paris collection for Fall 2015 , Galliano managed to make the 20's, 40's and 70's all work together to create a very modern collection. Bravo
