The Company http://www.sukiandsolaine.com/
Suki + Solaine marries the innovative vision and luxe construction of superior designer brands with the versatility and price of contemporary daywear.
Originally founded around Creative Director Brandi Archer’s concept for a collection of high-end knitwear essentials, the brand forged a new, more avant-garde voice with the addition of Nicole Puszynski as Designer.
Together, Archer & Puszynski have evolved S+S into a smart, metropolitan brand with a touch of the saturnine, evident in their moody colors and edgy prints, without sacrificing the easy luxury of their knit roots.
Suki + Solaine is headquartered in Chicago, and we pride ourselves on keeping the majority of our manufacturing at home. The design process takes place here in Chicago and we source our high-quality textiles from a variety of locales: New York, France, Turkey, Japan... just to name a few. Samples are made in our West Town studio and most final products are manufactured locally, with exceptions in some of the newer additions to our product line. Our scarves are produced in Italy and we work with a New York-based team to create our Merino wool sweaters, which are then manufactured in Asia.
In addition to the attainably priced core collection, we’ve introduced our black label: OLEANDER by Suki + Solaine. This exclusive category is comprised of pieces made with the highest quality materials and produced in limited runs.

The National Picnic Story
You just stumbled across my love for MAKING clothes. I'm National Picnic's Designer/Owner Betsy Cook, and I began sewing National Picnic clothing in 2011 for friends and neighbors. I hand-delivered the tops and dresses myself, wrapped in brown paper packages tied up with strings.
To this day, I still have a hand in the design and production of the garments, and when needed, the workload is shared with other vendors local to the Philadelphia region. When designing each collection, I seek sustainable attributes such as organic fabrics, textiles that are milled domestically, and industry surplus. Even National Picnic's most popular styles are still produced in small batches.
I get my creative satisfaction by personally sewing "few-of-a-kinds", those oh-so-tiny micro-runs of hyper-limited edition styles, some of which only exist in single-digit quantities. This site allows me to showcase those most creative gems. They go fast, so dig in and see what you can discover.
Thanks for browsing National Picnic. I hope to dress you soon!
